2.1 Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

• Your name and email address
• Authentication credentials (managed securely via our authentication provider, Supabase)

2.2 Google Ads Data

When you connect your Google Ads account, we access the following data via the Google Ads API in read-only mode:

• Campaign metadata (names, statuses, types, budgets)
• Keyword metadata (text, match type, quality score)
• Aggregated daily performance metrics (impressions, clicks, conversions, cost)

We do not access or store ad creative content, audience data, personal information about your customers, billing information from your Google Ads account, or any data beyond what is described above.

2.3 Payment Information

Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers, bank account details, or other payment credentials on our servers. We only retain your Stripe customer ID to manage your subscription.

2.4 Usage Data

We may collect information about how you interact with the platform, such as pages visited and features used, for the purpose of improving our service.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the AdsplainAI platform
• Display your Google Ads performance data in our dashboard
• Generate AI-powered insights and recommendations about your campaigns
• Send weekly email digest reports (if you opt in)
• Process subscription payments via Stripe
• Communicate with you about your account and service updates
• Improve and develop new features

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information or Google Ads data to any third party. We share data only with:

• Anthropic (Claude AI) — Campaign metrics are sent to generate AI insights. No personal information or OAuth tokens are shared.
• Stripe — For payment processing only.
• Supabase — Our database and authentication provider, which hosts your account and campaign data.
• Resend — For sending email digest reports to your email address.

We may also disclose information if required to do so by law or in response to valid legal requests by public authorities.

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data:

• Google OAuth access and refresh tokens are encrypted with AES-256-GCM before storage
• All data is stored in a database with Row Level Security (RLS), ensuring users can only access their own data
• All traffic is transmitted over HTTPS
• API keys and secrets are stored server-side and never exposed to the client
• CSRF protection is implemented for all OAuth flows

6. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your Google Ads data for as long as your account is active and your Google Ads account is connected. You can disconnect your Google Ads account at any time, which will permanently delete all synced campaign and keyword data from our systems. When you delete your AdsplainAI account, all associated data is permanently removed.

7. Google API Services User Data Policy

AdsplainAI's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically:

• We only request access to data that is necessary to provide our service
• We do not use Google Ads data for advertising, market research, or any purpose unrelated to providing the AdsplainAI service to you
• We do not allow humans to read your data unless with your express consent, for security purposes, to comply with law, or when aggregated and anonymized for internal operations

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Disconnect your Google Ads account at any time
• Opt out of email digest reports
• Export your data upon request

9. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. Essential cookies include your login session and short-lived OAuth state tokens used during the Google Ads connection process.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
